Every country has a play and design heritage. In Design Toys and Games, learning Indian toys and making them on your own will be the key thing.

    culture.

    and games.

SURABHI KHANNA

Surabhi Khanna is a designer, educator. She has Masters in Toy & Game Design from NID, India after graduation in architecture, now Faculty & coordinator (Industrial design) at National Institute of Design (NID), Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. She was assistant professor, program head - product design at Sushant School of Design, Ansal university, Gurugram, India. Since 2010, she has been working on projects and workshops related to heritage, innovations, culture-based design and associated with several institutions of design and education as a part time/ visiting faculty. She has been invited for talks, workshops in India, Thailand, Germany, South America, Denmark, France.

Course Structure

Day 1: Playful Memories. Experiencing simple joys through play.

Day 2: Exploring and making an interesting toy. Toys and Tales with Joy.

Day 3, 4: Design a tactile game. Discussion on Elements of Game.

Day 5: Discussion and Feedback.  Sharing new developed ideas.

c) Toy as a learning tool and Creative Expression.
d) Innovating ideas of toys and games.
