8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The vedas encompass the whole sphere of knowledge of the universe we live in. Questions of origin and evolution can be found here. The vedas, known as sruti, were heard by great masters called Rsi-s who had the ability to connect to the vibrations of the universe and express them through mantra-s. The timeless wisdom thus revealed itself through the mantra-s. This knowledge was passed on further by means of oral recitations and chanting. Such traditions of vedic chant are often considered the oldest, unbroken oral tradition in existence. In fact in 2003, UNESCO proclaimed the tradition of vedic chanting as a “masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity.” Through this course the students learn the basics of chanting, the technique and the chants. They will also begin to experience chanting as a meditative and self-reflective process.
